Description

Oxymel is a Latin term meaning Acid (Oxy) with Honey (Mel).  It has been pointed out that this is NOT an accurate Latin spelling.  Many people use Oxymel regularly without knowing the name of it.  It is in simplest terms, Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, and Raw Honey.  Many people add other medicinal foods to Oxymel.  Of course we add Elderberries!!  Our Elderberry Oxymel is a Trifecta of Medicinal Foods.  Oxymel is frequently used for chronic acid reflux, chronic indigestion, night time leg cramps, or simply as a daily tonic with a probiotic boost.  Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother) is Antiviral, Antifungal, and Antibacterial, and loaded with vitamins, minerals, and of course probiotics.  Raw Honey is also Antiviral, Antifungal, and Antibacterial.  Additionally, raw honey is used for allergies, and is soothing an beneficial for gut health.  Of course if you’re following us and Elderberries, you already know that Elderberries are used to shorten the duration and severity of viral infections and for allergies and high antioxidant content.  A recent study by WSU has also determined that Elderberries are good for weight loss as they regulate blood glucose levels.  BONUS!!  We have so many customers that love our Elderberry Oxymel, that we now offer it in this larger size.
